We Produce Our Own Rice: From Seed to Consumption We know that rice is an indispensable food item on the tables of billions of people around the world. However, producing rice ourselves and bringing it to consumers makes the labor behind this valuable product even more special. Rice production is a process that requires patience, knowledge and care. We focus on ensuring the highest quality and naturalness at every step, from seed to harvest, from processing to sale.
Let's take a look at our rice production process and this laborious yet rewarding journey.
Seed Selection: The First Step to Quality Production
Our rice production is based on carefully selected seeds. We prefer seeds that provide high yields, are resistant to diseases and compatible with the soil. Quality seed is the guarantee of a solid product. At the beginning of the season, we subject these seeds to germination. By soaking the seeds in water for a few weeks, we get stronger sprouts, which ensures a more robust start to the growing process.
Soil Preparation: The Right Ground for Planting
Soil preparation is one of the most important steps in our rice production. We organize our rice fields so that water can be kept under control. Because rice is known to be a water-loving plant. Through irrigation canals and drainage systems, we provide a constant supply of water to our fields and drain excess water to create optimal growing conditions. We also keep the soil healthy by using natural fertilizers to increase its fertility. The structure and nutrient value of the soil is critical for the development of plants, which is why we carefully analyze and prepare our fields every season.
Sowing: A Delicate Beginning
During the sowing process, we start a new production season by planting germinated seeds by hand or with machines in our flooded fields. Planting rice seedlings evenly spaced and at the appropriate depth ensures that the plants grow healthily without competing with each other. After this stage, the seedlings begin to develop in water. Our water-filled fields, known as paddy, provide an ideal growing environment for rice plants.
Irrigation and Maintenance: Continuous Control for a Productive Harvest
One of the most critical stages in rice production is irrigation. We support the growth of plants by keeping our fields constantly under water. This process is very important both in terms of feeding the plants and preventing the growth of weeds. We regularly check the water level and adjust the frequency of irrigation according to seasonal conditions. At the same time, we control weeds and fight against pests with organic methods to ensure the healthy growth of plants. Protecting our plants with natural methods without using chemical pesticides guarantees the naturalness of our products.
Harvest Time to reap the rewards of labor
The ripening process of rice takes about 4 to 6 months. During this time, our plants develop and by harvest time, our fields are golden yellow. Harvesting is one of the most exciting stages for us. When the rice grains are ripe, the plants are carefully harvested. Using modern harvesters, we harvest large areas of rice quickly and efficiently. But we also harvest using traditional methods, ensuring that the crop is harvested in its most natural state.
Drying and Processing: Preparing Rice for the Table
The rice we collect is first put into the drying process. Drying is an important step to increase the durability of the rice and to preserve it for a long time. We carry out the drying process naturally, under the sun. This process reduces the moisture content of the rice grains and increases their durability. The dried rice is brought to our processing facilities. Here, we separate the rice grains from their husks. In this unprocessed form, rice, known as “paddy”, becomes white rice after the husk is removed. We ensure that our rice reaches the consumer in its purest form without any chemical treatment, preserving its naturalness even during the processing phase.
Packaging: Quality Protection Phase
Processed rice is packaged under hygienic conditions and with modern packaging systems. We pack our rice in various weights and offer it to consumers. During the packaging phase, we take care to preserve the freshness and nutritional value of rice grains. We offer our products in a way that respects nature by using environmentally friendly packaging. As in every stage, we keep our quality standards at the highest level during the packaging phase
Sales and Distribution: Flavor Reaching the Table
After being packaged, the rice we produce meets consumers through sales and distribution channels. We deliver our products to consumers through a wide distribution network, from local markets to large grocery stores. We are proud to create a chain of quality in the way we sell our products, directly from farm to fork. We provide our consumers with a healthy food experience by offering unspoiled, delicious and nutritious rice
Rice production is not only an agricultural activity; it is also a reflection of patience, labor and respect for nature. Producing our own rice and bringing this natural product to consumers is both a source of pride and a great responsibility for us. At every stage of our production process, we aim to offer the best to your tables by prioritizing naturalness and quality. Enjoy our labor and the beauties that nature offers us in the journey of rice from seed to table!
